Creative Power Meets Production Discipline.

I’m an executive producer who thrives at the intersection of creativity and operational excellence. With a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams across campaigns, films, activations, and original content, I bring clarity, calm, and momentum to every phase of production. Whether on set, in the pitch room, or deep in post, I’m hands-on, solutions-driven, and deeply attuned to what it takes to make great work happen.

I’ve built my career collaborating with top-tier clients, agencies, and production companies around the world. Years of experience have taught me how to deliver at a high level—anywhere, under any conditions. From international productions in complex environments to last-minute pivots in post, I know how to keep creative moving and teams aligned.

I'm a lifelong early adopter and I've led workflows across virtual production, live-action, CGI, 2D/3D animation, motion control, drone cinematography, and advanced post-production pipelines. I’m equally comfortable building systems from scratch or jumping into an existing system mid-flight, and always focused on improving a process without compromising the craft.

My empowered leadership style is grounded in transparency. I prioritize clear communication and build trust across teams, clients, and creative partners. I’m the go-to person you call when something needs to get done right the first time - with precision, insight, and zero drama. I strive to make friends and colleagues versus "contacts."

My problem prevention instinct has made me a natural fit for startup environments, lean teams, and first-of-their-kind creative builds. I bring a rare mix of executive oversight, production fluency, and creative intuition—able to zoom out on vision or zoom in on details, depending on what the moment calls for.

Core strengths include:

  • Creative strategy and narrative development. Story first. Always.

  • Cross-functional team leadership

  • Budget and resource management

  • Virtual production and emerging technologies

  • Post-production supervision

  • Client and stakeholder collaboration

  • Team building and trust

  • Risk assessment and problem-solving

  • Workflow optimization and scalable process design

I’ve partnered with respected companies around the globe and worked alongside visionary directors, DP’s and producers across all genres and formats. The through-line of it all: creative integrity, steady leadership, and a deep respect for the collaborative process.

I’m based in South Los Angeles and live in a 1924 craftsman-style home with my two wonderful children, my brilliant wife (also a producer), our little dog, Winona, and a cat named Trixie who lives up to her name every day. I keep my passport up to date and have been to 15 countries around the world.

Career Timeline

1990 - 1997 - I graduated from WSU Film School, Dayton, OH with a B.F.A. in Motion Picture Production. Dayton was a hotbed for independent film and music. The Breeders, Brainiac, Julia Reichert, Cleveland International Film Fest.

2000 - 2002 - U Ground. If you don’t know this company, you should.  Music videos, commercials, and a fledgling record label. I wrote treatments for legendary music video directors - Peter Christopherson (Hipgnosis founding member and also founder of the band Throbbing Gristle), Martin Weisz, Paul Andresen, Markus Blunder. A very British company.

2002 - American Film Institute. I worked at AFI helping fellows in the Distribution and Exhibition department sell their student films.

2002 - 2003 - Rhythm and Hues VFX Production. At one time, this house was the top VFX house in all the land. I worked with cutting-edge effects directors here and spent lots of time with VFX artists on commercials and features.

2004 - 2006 - The end of the heyday of commercial production. I worked my way through PA, truck PA, office PA, coordinator, and production manager in a few years. Worked on 100's of commercials/music videos, short films, documentaries, all kinds of projects during this time, including my role as unit production manager for Electroma - a feature film shot and directed by Daft Punk. A project coordinator for the original BMW short film series, “The Hire”  with Anonymous Content, as well as various roles in the producer ranks for several documentaries by Ulli Lommel, Matt Ogens, Luis Pena, and others.

2003 - Dead Letters - independent feature film. I sold my original screenplay to a small production company and produced the feature on a shoestring budget in Dayton, OH. The filmmaking experience was invaluable.

2007 - Battle of Local 5668 - independent feature documentary. I wrote, directed, and shot most of this award-winning documentary. And when I finished it,  I toured with it, showing it at several screenings around the US. It also played in several countries as part of May Day celebrations and union events. It was a labor of love about organized labor and personal to my evolution as a producer and human.

2020 - Pandemic Times.

I worked more during the pandemic than I ever have before in my life. TrueCar slowed operations, so my colleagues and I left to reform Tiny Rebellion. I was now a principal in the company, working with its founder. I traveled all over the US making memorable advertising content for several startups until finally focusing on an EV car leasing startup called Autonomy.

2022 - Infinite Reality. I was approached by the founder to join his startup. The metaverse descended upon us, and I jumped headfirst into the tech world. I was brought in to head up some early operations and eventually made my way back into marketing to help build a team of creatives.

2024 - Fall 2025. I made my way back to the marketing department to help launch the product, iR Studio, which has since been featured on Google Marketplace. We also acquired Napster and have our sights set on many more lucrative acquisitions.

2006 - 2014 - Donat Wald/DW/DW+H/DWH/Tiny Rebellion. Welcome to the world of Marketing and Advertising. Somehow, I fit right in and used my production skills to drive their production in-house for the next 7 years. I left as a senior producer, not before I became confident in my role as Line Producer, Agency Producer, and Post Producer for entire campaigns. 100s of eHarmony spots, Ziprecruiter, Hotwire, LegalZoom, Truecar, USAA, and others.

2014 - 2020 - TrueCar. I was plucked from the agency to work client-side now as executive producer in marketing. The next six years were spent producing all marketing materials and campaigns for the car-buying company. My last project was a full 360-degree rebrand with Pentagram Brand Agency, shot in Buenos Aires.

2020 - 2022 - Autonomy required most of our focus at Tiny Rebellion.  And throughout the pandemic, I made some great content for InStride, Ready Responders, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Pipe, and others.

2023 - Promoted to Managing Director of Metaverse Creation. At one point, I was asked to build an internal team that could build bespoke immersive experiences for Enterprise clients. This would include AI concierge services and e-commerce functionality.
